We met in 2006 and realized a mutual passion for aviation. Jared has a commercial helicopter license and Heather has a private pilot's license. We were married in 2007 while Heather was in the Physician Assistant Program at Union College. Our dream has always been to serve as missionaries. Up until now, we have been working to pay off our student loans, working full time, and raising our two boys. Jared has kept up his pilot's license on the side while working full time as an industrial maintenance technician.
Around 2020, we became debt free and could seriously begin pursuing our dream of mission service. We met Dwayne Harris, the director of PAMAS (Philippine Adventist Medical Aviation Services) , a mission organization in the Philippines that uses helicopters to service remote mountain villages at an ASI conference in 2021. After that, Jared began further helicopter training. We paid as we went to prevent incurring debt. We struggled to meet training goals due to financial obstacles. Heather had felt the Lord calling her to surrender her job as a Physician Assistant. In late January 2023, eight days after Heather decided to trust God completely and give her notice at work, an email was received, officially inviting us to join PAMAS in the Philippines by May of 2023. Since that time, doors have opened with AngelOne that have allowed Jared to work on getting a fixed wing private pilot's license and Heather to pursue a biannual flight review. The position we have accepted with PAMAS is a 100% volunteer position. We are raising funds that will help to launch us to the Philippines as well as to support our monthly needs.
PAMAS is involved in seven different facets of ministry in the Philippines: Aviation which includes medical evacuation flights, education in remote jungle villages, medical/dental work with an emphasis on lifestyle medicine, bible work/evangelism, agriculture, construction, and radio.

PAMAS is involved in seven different facets of ministry in the Philippines: Aviation which includes medical evacuation flights, education in remote jungle villages, medical/dental work with an emphasis on lifestyle medicine, bible work/evangelism, agriculture, construction, and radio.
It is our desire to see mission aviation expand in the Philippines. We see the potential for bringing help to difficult to reach villages through the unique abilities of helicopters.
In her fourteen years of practice, Heather has developed a passion for lifestyle medicine and is excited about becoming involved in this aspect of ministry.
Our boys are excited to eat new foods, learn a new language and explore the jungle.
your prayers for our family as we embark on this adventure are appreciated.
